Sängerfest 2012

Sängerfest 2012 is the 40th Singing and Yodeling Festival, held every three years by the North American Swiss Singing Alliance (NASSA). This year, Sängerfest will take place during the Canada Day long weekend at Centre in the Square in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. It's a place where the past and the future live perfectly together: it's the home of one of the world's largest old-order Mennonite populations, and the home of the world-famous Blackberry smartphone!

CHORAL COMPETITION: FRI JUNE 29 AT 1:15 PM 15 choirs from across Canada and the USA will compete for honours in various categories of artistic, folk and yodel music. GRAND CONCERT: SAT JUNE 30 AT 7:30 PM Sounds of Switzerland: An astounding 300 singers from the 15 member choirs will combine their voices for this gala event.
